The Flying Tigers 69th D.R.S. Association is offering competitive academic scholarship awards for distribution in advance of the 2010-2011 school year:
►Marty Oxenburg Scholarship – Two $500 scholarships will be awarded.
►Doris van Tanner Tursky Endowment Scholarship – Two $500 scholarships will be awarded.
In order to be eligible to compete for the scholarship awards, the applicant must:
· Be a family member (e.g., child, grandchild, niece/nephew, great-niece/-nephew etc.) of a Flying Tiger veteran.
· Be accepted or enrolled in a university, college, technical program, or other relevant higher education program.
· Have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 in the academic program (or based upon secondary school records for entering freshmen)
· Submit an official application form, including required essays.
